Totenreich Main Easter Egg Guide, All Steps
Work In Progress: This guide is still being checked and expanded, so some details may change.
Every step of the Totenreich main quest Easter egg, in order: the Jotunn Star, three Uranium, the Wunderbarrage, the claw machine, the Atomkraft Core, the Blodheim Hall lockdown, the compass symbols and the Dravakar boss fight. The video above covers the same steps in under 8 minutes.
The tools for this map are on the Totenreich tools page: the full map cheat sheet, the crate paper sheet and the fishing and pole locations.
Power And Pack-A-Punch
The guided power and Pack-a-Punch process must be done first. Quick recap:
- Flip the power switch in both Core Foundry and Skallen Market, then interact with the center console in Tyr's Head to start the power.
- A zombie pops out of one of the tubes. Go through the same tube to grab its dropped keycard.
- In War Factory, scan your card at this console to open the door.
- Take out the zombies and grab your free Glocke Drop.
- At the center of Fishery Island, interact with the pulsating ground to start a link. Pack-a-Punch drops after 45 seconds.
Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon
- In Dry Docks, interact with the button in the Titan Crane room to lower a board.
- Sprint toward the board, jump onto it and then off it, and quickly turn around to pick up the chains mid-air off the ship. Doing this from the opposite side is easiest.
- On Storm Bridge, behind the truck, grab a can of Chili Chunks.
- Place it on the table at Skallen Market, across from Mule Kick.
- On the next Max Ammo round, after killing a few frozen zombies, a very beefy Zursa bear spawns. Killing it gets you a Lantern.
- In Burial Grounds, hold interact on the hole in the building next to the church to place your chains and open the door.
- Down the stairs, place the Lantern on the table to start the Constellation step. Symbols spawn on each side of the table and on the walls. Look at the table from the stairs toward the back wall.
- Interact with the table symbols that match the ones circling the walls, in this order: left, then right, then back, then front.
- A ghost appears. Follow her until she stops and asks for souls. Get those kills, then follow her again: first by the stairs, then by the water.
- She spawns a rocky pathway toward the Lighthouse. Follow it, jumping from rock to rock, to and through the Lighthouse and up to the top.
- At the top, interact with the ladder to finish and claim the Jotunn Star, your dedicated melee wonder weapon.
Hold melee to pull it out. Killing 3 to 5 zombies with it gives you a charge. You can hold up to 2 charges, and they are used by shooting (right trigger).
Collect 3 Uranium
The three Uranium can be collected in any order.
Uranium 1: ARC-XD Lock Picking
- Get an ARC-XD. A free one is on the crate at Eidskallen Square.
- Destroy the vent in Core Foundry.
- Drive the ARC-XD through it, boost off the ramp onto the boat and into the room.
- Detonate it at the back to blast open a door next to Pack-a-Punch.
- At the barrier, note which of the 5 numbers have the nuke symbol. Each number matches a letter, and the letters are also on the head jars around the room. Example: if your numbers are 1 and 3, your jars are A and C.
- Place the correct jars on the device to get a purple water jar. Place that on the carcass to get a Necrospike. If you mix the wrong jars, dispose of the non-purple mixture at the carcass.
- Interact with the cell to start a lock-picking mini game. Twist around until the spike lights up white and hold that position to open the latch. Do this 3 times to open the cell and grab your Uranium.
Uranium 2: Green Fish Ravager
- Use the fishing and pole locations sheet to find a fishing pole first.
- Identify all 11 fishing locations. At one of them, a green fish jumps around in the water.
- Place your rod at that spot and interact when it turns blue to pull a special Ravager into the map.
- Next round, locate the Ravager. He has buddies around him, but killing the special one drops your Uranium.
Uranium 3: Glocke Drop
- Get a Glocke Drop by turning on power, by fishing or from the crafting station.
- Gather enough zombies. In an open area, activate it like any scorestreak, then call it down with the right trigger.
- It pulses about every 10 seconds, shooting zombies up into the air. Quickly kill all the orange air zombies, but also save some ground zombies so they get swooped up by the next pulse.
- Be fast enough to get the rewards from all 3 pulses, and the Uranium.
Wunderbarrage And WW Signal
- Grab the crossbar from the shelf on the Lighthouse second floor.
- At either Tyr's Foot or the Titan Crane room, interact with the paper on the floor. It indirectly tells you which one of the map's 4 crates you must open. Match the first few words of your in-game paper to the crate paper sheet to find its crate. The locations stay the same every game, but the identifiers at the bottom right change.
- The four crates are: upstairs in War Factory, in Core Foundry on the bottom floor of the building, at the back of Dry Docks next to the ship, and on Fjord Road behind the trap.
- The wrong crate attacks you. The correct crate gives you a bullet, which goes into the flak gun on the right side of the Lighthouse. Melee it with the Jotunn Star to shoot.
- Search the robot in spawn to get a Transmitter. Build it up the ladder inside Tyr's Head, then drop down and count how many times the left and right lights flash in their 2 sequences.
- Example: sequence 1 is 1 and 4, because left and right both blink once but right blinks 3 more times. Sequence 2 is 3 and 6, because left blinks 3 times and right blinks 6 times in total.
- At Antenna Tower, melee the rope with a charged Jotunn Star to ascend, then interact with the device.
- Insert your sequence 1 flash counts for left and right on each side. After a strike hits the map and you kill some zombies, do the same with your sequence 2 numbers. Another strike hits.
- Pick up the Wunderbarrage from the room next to you.
Activate it like the Glocke Drop and call it down at the staircase in Dry Dock to open the Machine Workshop.
Claw Machine
- Place your 3 Uranium into the cylinder at the front of this machine to start the claw puzzle mini game.
- Move Uranium tubes from the left and drop them on the right so they connect to the pre-placed tubes horizontally and vertically. This completes powered circuits and moves the needle to green.
- If you fail, try again next round.
- The easy method is to make groups of 6 tubes and 3 tubes, or 7 and 2.
- Example: a 6 and 3 split came from placing Uranium in slots A2, B1 and D2. A 7 and 2 split came from A2, A3 and D4, and it worked.
Charge And Deliver The Canister
- A successful claw machine grants the Atomkraft Core. It reduces your movement speed but can be dropped if needed. It must be delivered to the pallets next to Quick Revive.
- The connected generator in Lief Boat Repair can now be powered on.
- Keep killing the zombies attacking the core until the charging gets interrupted.
- Repower the generator and repeat until it is fully charged.
- Pick it up and bring it to Storm Bridge, avoiding the uplifting glaciers on the path. They break easily with the wonder weapon and are preceded by a frost effect on the ground.
- Place the core on the barrel. After a short event between the robot and the ice monster, pick up Dravakar's Shard next to the robot entrance in Tyr's Foot.
Blodheim Hall Disciple Lockdown
- Place Dravakar's Shard in the pit at Blodheim Hall. It must be ignited with a charged wonder weapon melee or blast.
- Grab a Disciple Injection. A free one is on the ground inside the church.
- Activate the Disciple, then throw 5 zombies at the pit until it kicks you out.
- This starts a mini lockdown that ends after you kill an extra beefy boss.
- A Sunstone is left on the ground. Pick it up and place it on the pedestal in the church.
Compass Symbols
- Melee or blast the Sunstone with a charged Jotunn Star. A symbol wheel appears above the church, and pylons around the map show some of those symbols.
- You need to find your three symbols in the correct order. Your first symbol is always pointed to by the arrow with a single line. The second is pointed to by the double arrow with double lines. The third is pointed to by the arrow with triple lines and the diamond.
- Go around the map and shoot a Jotunn Star blast at the pylons for your symbols, in the correct order.
- Success removes all the pylons and lets you enter the boss fight by interacting with the center console in Tyr's Head.
Boss Fight
Arena And Attacks
- The arena has heat traps on the right, middle and left sides. Activating one stops you from freezing.
- A charged wonder weapon also does this, plus it increases your movement speed and helps clear zombies so you can regain armor.
- If you see a red circle on the ground or the boss conjuring ice, avoid the outlined area or duck behind rocks. An ice ball is incoming that freezes the area and instantly downs you on a direct hit. Be careful of the ice zombie waves that follow, because they are violent. Usually only about two thirds of the arena is frozen at a time.
- Throughout the phases, Dravakar unleashes rune rock attacks that hiding behind rocks does not always stop.
The rune attacks
- H: rocks drop at random over your surrounding area. Watch the sky and weave around whatever is coming at you.
- V: connected V waves of rocks. Move left and right between each V.
- S: an S-shaped formation aimed at your position. Move left or right.
- Line: a low horizontal wave of rocks. Go prone.
- Arrow: the rocks ambush you directly. Wait for the rocks to bunch together before dodging.
Your Objective
Intermittently shoot the orange weak spots on Dravakar. Whenever he takes enough damage in a phase, the robot calls in a harmless strike to the map that kills all zombies.
Ice skulls (a mini phase in phase 2). These are separate from Dravakar. Keep your distance, because they spin and are immune, and getting too close wakes them up and a damaging glacier attack comes up from under you if they are not knocked fast enough. To knock one down and make it vulnerable, use a War Machine, Semtex, frags or a charge of the Jotunn Star to get a blast into its mouth, then shoot it. If you do not finish it off, you are hit by the glacier attack right away. Repeat until it is dead, which gives free ammo and armor.
The Phases
- Phase 1: you get super sprinters. Just target the weak spots.
- Phase 2: starts with, and includes throughout, a few rounds of ice skulls. Taking them out brings Dravakar back to fight. He has moving weak spots and uses rune attacks. This phase ends when he is at a quarter of his health.
- Phase 3: the arena closes in tightly. Avoid the rapid-fire rune attacks while spraying the weak spot in his face. Do enough damage and the Easter egg is complete.
